A class
for all ages designed to develop grace, flexibility, and coordination.
It teaches classical ballet techniques, which include barre work,
ballet stretches, center work, across the floor, variations, and
choreography. Pointe class is by invitation only, based on student
evaluations. Ages 12 and up for pointe.
JAZZ:
A technique
class, which develops rhythm, strength, and coordination. It places
an emphasis on basic skills like leaps, kicks, and turns. This
class also includes extensive stretching, progressions across
the floor, and fun upbeat choreography. Ages 6 & up
TAP:
A class
designed to enhance the coordination of the ankles and feet, by
striking the floor in a rhythmic fashion. It teaches basic tap
skills, as well as steps across the floor, and fun, rhythmical
tap routines. All Ages
LYRICAL/MODERN:
A class,
which combines ballet and jazz techniques, with an emphasis on
inspirational choreography. It also concentrates on breathing
skills, stretching and unique progressions across the floor and
in the center. Ages 8 & up
HIP HOP:
A high-energy
class, which is fun for all! It develops strength, endurance,
and rhythm, by learning the latest funky and hip choreography
from the hottest music videos! Ages 5 & up
DRILL PREP:
This class
is designed to prepare girls for Dance/Drill Team tryouts! It
includes intense stretching for splits, kicks, jumps, and turns.
Students will learn various routines such as prop, high kick,
novelty, jazz, and lyrical pieces. Ages 11 & Up
PRE SCHOOL DANCE: BALLET/ TAP:
A fun combination
class which introduces basic ballet and tap skills, while using
creative movement techniques in order to develop cognitive skills,
body awareness, and spacial perceptions. Ages- 3/ 4 & 4 /
5
CHEER/TUMBLE:
A class
that is constructed to prepare students for cheerleading. It consists
of intense strength building exercises, jumps and cheers in addition
to basic tumbling skills. Ages 5-9
CREATIVE MOVEMENT:
This class
is a motor skills class designed for children ages 2-3. Basic
ballet movement will be introduced, in addition to elements to
develop hand eye coordination. Parents can be involved in this
class.
CLOGGING: This class requires special shoes that have extra taps
on them for a loud unique sound. Different from Tap, movements
are done with the heels and low to the floor.
STRETCH/TECHNIQUE:
This class
is to aid any dancer in becoming more flexible and polish their
basis skills.
JAZZERCISE: This fun and energetic class is for teen and adults.
It is an exercise class which incorporates basic jazz movement.
ADULT DANCE FITNESS:
This class
is for beginner/intermediate adults. We will do a variety of different
dance styles as well as exercise.
I am looking to add new classes such as Ballroom, Country and
Western and Salsa to the schedule. If classes are added, you
